Class Star Template: A First CV for a Strong Student

A template designed for a primary or middle-school student: a simple, colourful layout with stars and badges, and short sections the child understands alone. The goal is not employment but teaching a child to organise and present an achievement clearly to a teacher.

The steps

1. Open it and fill in the child's name, year group and school
2. List the school activities they took part in: competitions, class representative, committees
3. Add a skills section with three or four only: reading, maths, teamwork, presenting
4. Enter school prizes or certificates with the year awarded
5. Have the child read the document aloud and check their own details before handing it in

• Keep it short and truthful; an exaggerated child's record is spotted immediately and helps nobody
